Suit Alterations
As well as altering suits that don't fit you, we can restyle them to give them a more contemporary appearance. If you have a suit that hangs off you rather than compliments you, then let our master tailors at Great Stitch re-cut your suit. The quality of work we provide is unlike any other.
Trouser Alterations
For trousers that are loose or tight on the waist, we can quickly and effectively reduce or increase size by adjusting the centre back seam. After a fitting with our Master Tailor, we can also determine the perfect shape of the seat and raise or let down the fork when necessary.
Jeans Alterations
When shortening jeans, we are able to retain a pre-worn finish by cutting away the original hem and reinstating it at the required length. We can also replace lost jean buttons and rivets.
Coat/Jacket Alterations
Our tailor at Great Stitch has the skills to alter your coat or jacket to achieve the perfect fit. To improve the fit of your coat or jacket we can take in the side seams or rear centre seam for a flattering fit. We can also shorten the length of your coat or sleeves ensuring the original stitch pattern, thread colour and any detail are matched perfectly.
Shirt Alterations
If you do not like the general fit of your shirt there are a number of shirt alterations that are possible. Shirt sleeves can, of course, be shortened – you just take off the cuff, cut down the sleeve and reattach (this can even be done from the shoulder if you want to retain the length of the placket).
Leather Alterations
If your leather jacket does not fit you as it should or is ripped then we have the skills to alter or repair it for you correctly. A tear or rip does not need to mean the end of a leather jacket or coat. Our skilled Tailors have the ability to replace panels and use specialised techniques to restore your leather jacket or coat to its original condition.
